Creative Scotland Awards

Each year, up to ten established artists with a record of major achievement in their field are awarded £30,000 to provide them with a unique opportunity to realise their imaginative ideas in a major project. The Award may also be used to experiment, or to discover new talents. Each artist also receives a beautiful glass award created by Scottish glass artist Anita Pate.

Funded through the National Lottery, the Awards are made to artists working in many art forms, and often provide them with an opportunity to develop new collaborations, to develop their skills and to take their career in an entirely new direction and to a higher level. They can also facilitate the opportunity to work internationally.

These leading artists of distinction and originality already have an excellent reputation. The Awards are truly valued by artists as a mark of appreciation by their country and allow them to fulfill a cherished project.

The diversity of projects is stunning. A showcase of completed projects, as well as details of those projects yet to be finalised, can be found on this site. You can search by art form, by name of artist or by the year in which the Award was made.
